- Horizontal wrinkling along the forehead
- An overly gummy smile
- Orange-peel texture on the chin
- Create appearance of mini "eyebrow-lift"
How long until Botox results are seen?
Full results will be seen within 48-hours. (The area between your brows may continue to improve for up to a month.)
Will I still be able to make facial expressions with Botox?
With Botox treatments, your end results do not leave you looking like you've had "work" done. The muscle activity that causes lines and wrinkles is reduced, so you can still show expression -- smile, frown, or look surprised -- but without the wrinkles and creases.
How long will my Botox results last?
Visible results may last up to 4-months. Your own results may vary, be sure to talk to your injector about what you can expect and when to schedule your next appointment.
Are Botox treatments expensive?
Actually, Botox treatments are quite affordable. According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), the cost per treatment in the United States averages between $300 and $500, with results that can last up to 4 months.
How can I be sure I'm getting real Botox?
Only licensed and trained healthcare professionals have the experience necessary to administer Botox Cosmetic treatments. Allergan, Inc., the maker of Botox Cosmetic, is the only source for healthcare professionals to purchase authentic product.
On real Botox bottles, there is an Allergan hologram on the FDA-approved labels.
Per the Botox website, About Face Skin Care only injects 100% genuine Botox Cosmetic.
Are Botox injections painful?
Botox treatments involve multiple, tiny injections. You may feel a slight pinch as the Botox is being injected, but any discomfort is mild and temporary – most people go right back to work, or their regular activities, immediately after treatment.
What should I do/not do after a Botox treatment?
Immediately following a Botox treatment, it is recommended to not lie down, nor massage the treated area, for up to 4 hours after the injections have taken place (you want to allow the Botox to permeate the exact areas it was injected into).
In order to make sure that the Botox spreads correctly into the intended muscles, it is advised to move around the body part that was treated. (For example, if your forehead was treated it is encouraged raise your eyebrows, furrow your brow, and engage in any other facial expression that incorporates the movement of your forehead.)
